The Surprise Visit

Nash and I spent this past week in Santa Barbara, CA. My family had been planning for a year to have a mini family reunion at the beach. They really wanted us to come but it happened to fall on the week of finals for Andrew. My mom was trying to talk me into coming with just Nash because my little sister and Dad had not met Nash yet. I was really nervous to fly with him because he was barely 8 weeks and every time I looked for tickets it was pretty pricey. So I decided I would not be able to go and my mom was pretty heartbroken..... Then the Sunday before, I decided that I just had to make it happen. I called my cousin and best friend who lives in LA to be in on the surprise and pick me up from the airport. Here She filmed this video of us surprising them! They had no idea we were coming!

The trip was hard to do by myself with the baby but I am so glad that I went we had such a GREAT time and I got a nice break too because everyone spoiled Nash rotten. Everyone made us feel so special and so loved. It was so amazing to see my Dad and Carleigh with the new little addition to our family. Truly Priceless.

Blessing Day

Our 4th of July was great- Nash was blessed in Sacrament meeting which was a great experience for all of us. Emily, Golden, and Jensen were able to be there with us and we all hung out the rest of the day. Nash looked adorable in his outfit that Keali's friends made for him. I kind of wanted them to make me one too but the fabric was a little pricey. Darn.

Nash's blessing outfit turned out perfect. In fact, Keali loves it so much the poor kid has been wearing it for three days straight.

Nash was so surprised when we told him he could stay up late and watch the fireworks outside.

To display our patriotism we made this awesome flag cake. It didn't quite turn out like Barfoot's but it sure tasted good. Hope you all had a happy 4th of July!
