YES!

...was the first thing we read when Andrew opened his letter from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine- Georgia Campus.

After months of essay writing, MCAT studying and long days at school, his first interview was at this Atlanta school, our top pick. After the interview during Thanksgiving week we were left really unsure, knowing that many applicants do not get in their first year applying. The much anticipated letter came the week before Christmas and turned out to be the best Christmas gift ever! What a blessing! Andrew will be part of the class of 2015.

School starts in August and that's when we will be moving out to Georgia. We will miss our dear Rexburg but we are happily looking forward, finally knowing what's in store for us during the next few years. It's going to be a hard journey and I am a little nervous but I know this is the right thing for us to do.

...did I mention the school is only 20 minutes from my parents house?

Thanksgiving in A-Town

For Thanksgiving we visited my family in Atlanta. While we were gone there was a major snow storm in Rexburg shutting down EVERYTHING. Lucky for us we were living it up in the 70 degree weather.

My mom watched Nash while we went on a FIRST and MUCH NEEDED date since he was born. We went to one of our fav restaurants, walked around an outdoor shopping mall hand in hand (usually one of us is holding him so hand holding is rare these days), and ended the night with frozen yogurt. I felt like we were dating again. It was perfect!


My dad was so cute with Nash! While babysitting he realized how out-of-practice he was. Luckily Nash broke him in by spitting up on him multiple times as soon as he would change his clothes. Welcome to my world! :)


The Rents' put up their Christmas tree the day before Thanksgiving so we took these right before our big meal.

We went to Atlanta because Andrew had an interview for medical school. It was over the week of Thanksgiving so Nash and I got to tag along. Of course I am REALLY hoping he gets into the GA school.


Nash had his 6 month check up. Here are the stats: 19 lbs. 28 inches (90th percentile). This kid is going to be tall like his Dad. He is rolling over, sitting up, and his 2 bottom teeth are coming through. He is sooo curious about EVERYTHING. I fear crawling. eek.
