In other random news, I made the most delicious brownies the other day. My secret ingredient? ...black beans. I know, it sounds weird but I have been wanting to try it for a while and they are seriously amazing. So hear is what you do:
Just omit any water, eggs, or oil you would use for your regular recipe. You can even just use box brownies. Rinse well a can of black beans and then put them back in the can and fill the top of the beans with water. Then blend them in blender or food processor. You add the pureed black beans in place of all the other liquids you would normally use. They take just a little longer to cook or until your toothpick comes out clean. They taste delicious almost like a dense cake but still so fudgy and you would never know there were black beans in there. The best part? They are lower in fat, calories and sodium and higher in fiber and protein than regular brownies. Try it! You won't regret it!
